Axip Energy Services marks 36 months since last recordable safety event

Houston, TX (September, 12, 2017) – Axip Energy Services, LP is proud to mark the passage of 36 months since the company’s last recordable safety incident.

“Safety has always been our top priority at Axip, and I’m proud that the efforts and focus of our field service technicians and safety team are reflected in a safety record that has become the industry standard for contract compression,” said Skip Herald, CEO. “To have passed three full years without a recordable incident is a testament to our steadfast focus on safety here at Axip, and I couldn’t be prouder of our team.”

Axip’s safety record has won recognition and awards from customers including Shell, Chevron, and Kinder Morgan. 2016 marked the second consecutive calendar year that Axip has posted an annual TRIR of 0.00, and the company is proud to have a 0.00 year to date TRIR through September 2017.

TRIR is an important safety metric required by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). It is calculated by multiplying the total number of recordable cases times 200,000 and dividing that number by the total hours worked by all employees during the year covered. Recordable cases are defined as work-related injuries and illnesses that cause fatalities, unconsciousness, lost work days, restricted work activity, job transfers or require medical care beyond first aid.
